Rails Summer Season Tips Off Saturday in Ames

The Lincoln Boys Varsity Basketball team’s live period begins as soon as the final bell rings at Lincoln High School Friday morning. Head Coach Justin Einerson will have the Railsplitters on the floor just one time to prepare for the June Jamboree at All Iowa Attack’s facilities in Ames.

Friday’s practice will be little more than a re-introduction for the Rails, who return 50 percent of their scoring from the 2017-2018 season. The now experienced Railsplitters also return seven players who started games last season.

Lincoln will play in Varsity Pool B Saturday and Sunday. The pool also includes recent 4A state qualifier Newton, 3A power Spirit Lake along with Greene County and Denver from 2A. The Rails will also play Ballard out of 3A in a crossover game.
