Nate Feller, 2020, 6’2, Wing
Nate Feller already has three years of varsity experience under his belt as he completes his junior season for Lincoln High School. After getting time as a spot shooter as a freshman, Nate saw a much bigger role on the offensive and defensive end in 2017-2018. During his junior year, he averaged 8.5 points and 5 rebounds per game while being named a CIML Honorable Mention selection.
The brother of Graceland commit Will Feller, Nate finished with the highest percentage from three point range (35.6%) and was a lock-down perimeter defender as a sophomore. Before Nate’s season-ending injury against Southeast Polk in late January, the Rails had put together a run of success that included a two straight wins and a road win at Urbandale. The Rails also had close games with Des Moines North and Waukee in that stretch that came down to the final moments.
Nate Feller was a huge part of that run and averaged over 28 minutes per game over the course of the season.
Feller is continuing to work on his jump shot while his ball handling and finishing skills continue to advance as well. Nate has already received local recognition as he is ranked #44 in his class by Iowa Preps.
